Producer and adviser surveys

The project conducted two on-line surveys during the second half of 2016; one for advisers in the private sector and the other for producers. The surveys quantify areas identified at the regional forums and gather information related to demand and supply of services, areas of need related to advisory capacity development and models of engagement.

Results from the online surveys are used to analyse the social networks and connectivity of the private sector in agricultural RD&E. The surveys also provide insights into training needs of the private extension sector which will inform the development of accredited training units.
