Primary Industry Workforce Development research: A research strategy for policy and practice

Project Summary

The project synthesised existing research knowledge in Australian primary industry workforce development for the benefit of policy-makers and practitioners, and created a strategic and co-ordinated research agenda for primary industry workforce development by integrating the research and practice knowledge and identifying priority research gaps, particularly for progression to an ARC-Linkage. An inaugural research forum (“think-tank”) for primary industry workforce development was held in March 2013 and involved a targeted group of researchers, policy-makers and practitioners in primary industry workforce development across Australia. A research agenda was produced and is informing proposal development.
